Trina Mara has an incredible story to share about how a tragedy turned to inspiration. It's the story of The Ollie Hughes Band. She goes into the rehearsal studio with a group of men, in their early 40's, from Griffith Avenue who always dreamed of making music but as can happen, real life gets in the way. However, when Ollie Hughes was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, music turned out to be the perfect distraction for them all.
They recorded the album "Beauty & Terror", which was signed off by Ollie himself just before he passed away at the young age of 40. It was to be a legacy to leave behind for his wife Sheena and their 3 young children Finn, Jude and Edie.
The album is now available aswell as TOHB merchandise with a gig at Lost Lane in Dublin on November 17th. All proceeds will go to St.Francis Hospice and Arc Cancer Support who looked after Ollie and his family so well.
